Back Pain

Signs and Symptoms

Back pain is easily recognizable.  You hurt.  Whether it’s lower back pain, middle or upper back pain or sciatica, 80% of Americans are subjected to back pain in their lives.   Some symptoms include: reduced movement and flexibility, soreness, weakness, burning, aching, stiffness, lack of mobility, throbbing, stabbing pain, numbness, tingling, and other sensitivities.

What is Back Pain?

Pain is a symbol that something has gone wrong.  It is a signal that there has been injury or that injury is about to occur.  Back pain may come from several different sources or situations; from an injury received, to weakness resulting in ligament relaxation, referral pain, inflammation, arthritis, obesity, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, among others.

Natural anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxing supplements along with nutrition to support healing and nutrition to nurture muscles and joints is the right way to go in this case. Of course, this treatment would be in addition to any care your receive from your regular doctor, physical therapist, an osteopathic physician who does manipulation and/or craniosacral treatment or chiropractor after correct diagnosis of your condition.

Signs and Symptoms

Common arthritis symptoms of inflammation, pain, and stiffness are usually caused by degenerative arthritis (osteoarthritis). Other types of arthritis include rheumatoid arthritis and gout.   Symptoms can also include; joint pain, swelling, stiffness and limited movement.

What is Arthritis?

Arthritis is inflammation of one or more joints.  There are more than 100 different types of arthritis.  Some types of arthritis may cause joint deformity.  This is usually a sign of a severe, untreated rheumatoid arthritis.

A few arthritis conditions can be completely cured and others become chronic.  In order to determine whether or not your pain, stiffness or lack of motion is caused by arthritis you need to see the doctor.  Life style changes, getting enough sleep,

Increase of exercise and eating foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids can all help to alleviate arthritis pain.  Some doctors will recommend cortisone injections but these are not a permanent solution.  Sometimes arthritis is worsened by poor gut function, food allergies, yeast overgrowth, hormonal imbalance or toxin overload.  Very often, arthritis pain can be remarkably improved by treating these problems.
