Dear Dr. Auburn,
Recently I got my son's report card. With it we received a graph/summary of his reading assessment test scores since first grade (he's now in third). It was remarkable! In first grade he was reading as a beginner reader - bottom of the chart. Now he is reading above his grade level and significantly about the mean for his class! There was a huge jump in second grade between the test dates of Sept 08 and March 09. I wondered why – we really hadn't changed anything at home. Then I realized that is when we changed his diet based on your recommendations.
Prior to having his food allergies tested and making changes to his diet he had been getting so frustrated on a daily basis that he was hitting me. That stopped instantly when we eliminated the offending foods. He also became much more verbal. Apparently his performance in school, specifically reading, also significantly improved!
Thank you so much for your help in locating the cause and letting the real boy shine through. I don't know what life would be like without discovering and handling this problem for him. I am sure my house hold would not be so happy, and he would not be so successful. He is now taking more control of his eating habits and making his own choices. He has learned from experience what can happen if he eats too much of the wrong thing - he has gotten sick directly from eating poorly and he can now see the connection. It is wonderful for him to have this knowledge of and responsibility for his health at 9 years old!

I came in to see Dr. Auburn about 3 weeks ago. I had a concern with regards to my weight. I wanted to lose some, but needed some advice on a good way to do so. Dr. Auburn recommended a specific change to my diet that was very easy to follow and so I did that. It is now 3 weeks later and I have lost ten pounds and I feel so much better about my body! I am 5 feet, 130 pounds and 64 years. A year ago I injured my left knee and my left foot. Two months after orthroscopic knee surgery I had surgery for a fractured toe. This compromised the healing of the knee. Physical therapy was very strengthening and improved my posture. I reached a point of having sharp pain in the knee with each step. Of course I do have some arthritis. Wearing a lift in my shoe for the shorter leg did no help.
Upon the suggestion of my therapist Scott Benjamin, I decided to try Prolotherapy, a homeopathic treatment that had helped him so much with a similar problem. Dr. Ann Auburn examined my knee with her hands. She discovered the weakened ligament attachments. She injected the prolo and growth hormones. Within a week I felt 75% better for more mobility and able to put weight on my feet and walk with much less pain. I continued the series of shots in the next weeks. Physical therapy, walking, and homemaking became comfortable with occasional pain that rest and elevation of legs help. Now in maintenance with aerobic exercise I do sometimes forget which leg is “supposed to hurt!!” In less than a year I am feeling healing pains, rather than sharp arthritic pain. I am thankful for the benefits of Prolotherapy. I will take care and drink enough water. I can now continue to heal and exercise.

I started coming to Dr. Ann in 2003. My sugar was 500, triglycerides 5300. Through it all, I felt ok. This was amazing after talking to Ann. I changed diet, exercise and started some vitamins. Along with my medicine we combined western with natural.

My journey to a fresh start began two months ago. After dieting and yo-yoing for years I all but gave up on any weight loss, I topped out at 230 pounds. A few years ago I began to experience severe muscle and joint pain. Having more than a passing interest and experience, in natural health care, I went to a clinic where Dr. Auburn was on staff. I suffered with pain in my right foot for years. I was continually getting my feet adjusted by Dr. Peelyn however, since I tore ligaments in that foot a year earlier, the ligaments could not hold the cuboid bone in place. This displacement had a domino effect from my knees, to my hips, to my back!

For almost five years I was on a medication prescribed by a neurologist.
